Tamar Kaprelian

Tamar is an Armenian-American singer and songwriter. She started writing her own material and playing the piano when she was 14. During her collaboration with RCA, Tamar spent two years improving her art with the most influential songwriters of the time. In 2008, she was rediscovered by One Republic, performing their song Apologize. Soon Tamar signed her second recording contract with Interscope Records and released her first album Sinner or a Saint. In 2012, Tamar moved to New York to study in Columbia University. Tamar represented Armenia in the 60th Eurovision Song Contest as a member of the supergroup Genealogy. Inspired by it, the singer launched the Nvak Foundation, a music education program for fostering young musical talents in Armenia.

“I would like to have enough resources for charity in Armenia and for helping young Armenian musicians to make their dreams come true.”

“I grew up to listening to the music of 60’s and 70’s. I love songs that tell a story.”

“I love running. Twice I’ve participated in New York Marathon.”
