Dialects and imaginary languages have surfaced again and again at Eurovision. In 1989 Switerzerland's entry was sung in Romansch and Lithuania's song "Strazdas" was sung in a west-Lithuanian dialect.
In 2007 Armenia took part in ESC for the second time and won the same 8th place with Hayko’s "Anytime You Need". It gave us the right to take part in the Final stage in Belgrade 2008.

"AREVIK" is going to represent Armenia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2007 for the first time ever on December 8th, 2007 in Rotterdam (Netherlands).

"AREVIK" children and youth pop-folk ensemble will perform a song at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which is written by the soloist, 15 years old Mariana Javakhyan. Soloists Anahit and Christine (both 10 years old) will help the author of the song to perform it live on stage. All other participants are back-vocalists who will try to amuse the audience and viewers with a lively dance.

"AREVIK" is 29-year-old ensemble of the Public Radio of Armenia. During these fruitful years a number of songs was recorded which are now preserved in the "Golden Fund" of the Public Radio of Armenia as well as in Moscow. The ensemble had concert-tours in many countries such as Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Bulgaria, Iraq, and USA and also in some cities of former Soviet Union – Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kyev, Odessa, Crimea, and etc. Some song records of "AREVIK" were made in the well-known Russian "Melody" studio.

7 or 8 generations have changed since foundation of the ensemble but the ensemble is still faithful to its traditions. The children and youth pop-folk ensemble "AREVIK" has gained a new, modern and fresh look recently. Many famous composers, poets for children and lyricists are excited to bring their own contribution to the development of the Armenian music for kids.

One can always admire singing of "AREVIK" graduates at Governmental, official and many other concerts and TV shows. "AREVIK" ensemble reveals to the world the inimitable flavor of the Armenian music, the voice and talent of the Armenian children. Their velvety voices, scenic appearance, artistic behavior, and their frankness are fascinating. "AREVIK" or better to say the "Singing Armenian Sun" spreads its warm rays of music everywhere. Children will try to make you smile on a cloudy day, try to make you glow when you are sad, try to make you sing when you are too serious and try to make you happy like a child when you are 99!

Meet the Sun with a smile and a "Sunny Group" with an open heart!
